Ingredients

2 large sweet potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for some heat)

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Start by washing and peeling the sweet potatoes. Cut them into thin, even fry shapes, about 1/4 inch thick—this helps them cook evenly and become crispy.

In a large bowl, combine the cut sweet potatoes with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if you're using it). Toss everything together until the fries are well coated.

Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes. This step ensures that your fries get that crispy texture right from the start.

Once preheated, place the sweet potato fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer. If you have more fries than can fit at once, cook them in batches.

Air fry the sweet potatoes for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. Keep an eye on them towards the end; they should be golden and crispy.

Carefully remove the fries from the air fryer and sprinkle with fresh parsley for a pop of color if you like. Serve immediately while they’re hot and crispy!
