Ingredients

3 ripe bananas

1 cup dark chocolate chips (feel free to use milk chocolate for a sweeter taste)

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional; adds a silky texture to the chocolate coating)

½ cup crushed nuts (choose from almonds, walnuts, or peanuts for added crunch)

½ cup shredded coconut (unsweetened or sweetened based on your preference)

Popsicle sticks or wooden skewers

Instructions

Prep the Bananas: Begin by peeling the ripe bananas. Cut each banana in half to create two pieces. Carefully insert a popsicle stick into the cut end of each banana half, pushing it in at least halfway for stability when dipping.

Freeze the Bananas: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the banana pops on the sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart and not touching. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for a minimum of 2 hours, or until the banana halves are completely frozen and firm.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips along with the coconut oil (if using). Microwave the mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly in between, until the chocolate is fully melted and has a smooth consistency. Exercise caution to prevent the chocolate from overheating.

Coat the Banana Pops: Once the bananas are frozen solid, remove them from the freezer. Dip each banana pop into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess chocolate to drip off back into the bowl. For an even coating, use a spoon to help spread the chocolate over the banana.

Add Toppings: Before the chocolate coating sets, roll or sprinkle the coated banana pops with your choice of crushed nuts and/or shredded coconut. This will add texture and flavor to your delightful treat.

Final Freeze: Place the decorated banana pops back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and return them to the freezer. Allow them to freeze for an additional 30 minutes to ensure that the chocolate hardens completely.

Serve & Enjoy: Once the chocolate is fully set, your Choco-Banana Bliss Pops are ready to enjoy! Indulge in them right away, or store them in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a week for a delicious treat whenever desired.
