Ingredients

1 pre-made flatbread or naan (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1 cup artichoke hearts, drained and coarsely chopped (from canned or frozen)

1 cup cream cheese, softened to room temperature

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, adjust for spice level)

Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C), ensuring it reaches the desired temperature before baking.

Prepare the Topping: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, chopped artichoke hearts, finely chopped spinach, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, along with salt and pepper. If you enjoy a bit of heat, add the red pepper flakes. Mix well with a spatula or spoon until all ingredients are evenly combined and the mixture is smooth.

Spread the Mixture: Place your flatbread or naan on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Using a spatula, evenly spread the spinach and artichoke topping mixture over the flatbread, starting from the center and gently working your way to the edges, ensuring an even layer.

Sprinkle with Parmesan: After spreading the mixture, liberally sprinkle the freshly grated Parmesan cheese over the entire surface of the flatbread, ensuring every bite gets the delicious cheesy goodness.

Bake: Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes. Keep an eye on it; you’re looking for golden brown edges and a bubbling, lightly browned cheese topping.

Garnish: Once baked to perfection, remove the flatbread from the oven and let it cool for about a minute. For added freshness and color, sprinkle chopped parsley over the top.

Slice and Serve: Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice the flatbread into wedges or squares. Serve warm, either as an enticing appetizer or a delightful main dish.
